she/her/hers

I'm a photographer, fiber artist, dog mom, home chef, and housewives fanatic. I love wedding photography because it represents the intersection of my interests in fashion, family (both chosen and biological), photography, culture, current trends, and classic portraiture.

It is New York or Nowhere for me, but I came from Kansas and have somehow maintained most of the midwestern sensibility I was born with.

I started Max McQueen to provide wedding photography that is highly personalized and very glamorous, but also inclusive, accessible, and equitable. The wedding world is very heteronormative and whitewashed and often "luxury" is representative of services available to only a select few.

I desire to bring the utmost respect with regards to my clients pronouns, gender, body type, race, family, and relationships. I do this by using gender neutral language in my contracts and conversations, using informed consent to photograph you in a way that's comfortable for you, and having strict standards when it comes to editing skin tones across the spectrum (no orange or blue people here).

I'm also a dog mom to a five year old Pomeranian named Minnie who is the light of my life. Adopting her was the best decision I've ever made and was my answer to the darkness of 2020.

She's very glamorous and prefers to be carried around the city in her Telfar bag.
